About Rachel
Rachel has been in practice for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in various areas.
She has worked in public and private healthcare, women's organisations, LGBTQIA+ organisations, criminal justice and with children & young people.
Rachel is a clinical supervisor and an accomplished trainer. She has worked for colleges and universities as well as private training providers.
Rachel is also a funeral and life celebrant, performing funerals, celebration of life events, weddings and baby namings in North Wales and North West England.
Approach
Rachel is a creative therapist, analytical yet contactful and she believes that each client is unique.
She offers a variety of therapy approaches including Transactional Analysis, CBT, Brief Solutions Focussed Therapy, Person Centred and trauma focused models and interventions, including EMDR.
Achievements
Rachel has authored the "Don't Steal My Future" programme for Year 6-13 High School students, along with a version for colleges and sports associations. It is a workshop providing education on sexual violence, including grooming, peer pressure and consent. This programme has been delivered to thousands of students across North Wales.
A further version was commissioned in July 2024 and will be launched in primary schools in North Wales in October 2024.
She has also written "Intimate Terrorism, a research project into vicarious trauma in sexual violence therapists. She presented this research at the BACP Research Conference in 2023.
